Dr. Katsman is a fellowship-trained retina surgeon providing advanced, patient-centered care for a wide range of retinal conditions. She is committed to preserving and restoring vision through an individualized and compassionate approach, while making each appointment relaxed, informative, and as comfortable as possible.
Her academic path began at UCLA, where her interest in helping patients maintain independence and quality of life inspired her to pursue PhD research in stem cell therapies for retinal disease. Her work explored innovative approaches to restoring retinal function in age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular injury, and diabetic retinopathy, resulting in publications in leading scientific journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and a patent filing for novel therapies for degenerative eye diseases.
Dr. Katsman later completed her ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, where she received advanced training in ophthalmology and retinal care.
